Dr. Erika F. Puni, Director of the Stewardship Department of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, was elected in July 2005 at the General Conference Session in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Puni served as Stewardship, Sabbath School, and Personal Ministries Director for the South Pacific Division prior to this appointment, and was also a professor of theology at Avondale College, Australia.
Dr. Puni began his ministry as a pastor in Samoa and New Zealand. He later joined the Youth Department of the North New Zealand Conference and, after his graduate studies in the United States, returned to that conference to serve as assistant secretary.
Erika graduated from Loma Linda University with a MA in Religion and from Fuller Theological Seminary with an MA in Missiology and a PhD in Intercultural Studies. Dr Puni is married to Maxine (an accountant by profession) and they have two young children: Janae-Grace (girl), and Jaydon (boy).

| Jean-Luc Lézeau is the Associate Director of the Stewardship Department for the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. He is a French national, born in Algeria. He and his wife Eileen have three children, two girls and a boy. Jean-Philippe, oldest of the three, is currently teaching in a vocational school in Lyon France, training logisticians for non-governmental organizations, and the happy father of Jérémie, Elodie, and Amandine. His daughter, Sandrine, is a nurse specializing in intensive care at the American Hospital in Dubai, and mother of Amélie and Arnaud.The Lézeau's younger daughter, Vanessa, is attending high school in Silver Spring.
Jean-Luc studied at the universities of Collonges (France), Newbold (England), Grenoble (France), and Webster (Geneva). He has served in several capacities from conference to division level in the denomination including school principal, business manager, treasurer, departmental director, and president of various church entities both in Africa and Europe.

Dr. Maria Ovando-Gibson is the Assistant Director of the Stewardship Department for the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
A former instructor at Fuller Theological Seminary, Ovando-Gibson worked with the latest technology contributing in developing and designing curriculum for Fuller's online Master of Arts in Global Leadership program, as well as being the online adjunct professor for the course Adult Formation and Discipleship.
Dr. Ovando-Gibson served on the executive committee of the Southern California Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists from 1993-1999. She has also been a small group leader in local church ministry for the past fifteen years.
Ovando-Gibson was one of twelve students awarded a merit scholarship by Ronald Reagan. She holds a Master of Divinity with emphasis in Christian Formation and Discipleship and PhD in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary.
The Gibson family enjoys fly-fishing and travel. Maria is a master gardener and an accomplished quilt maker. |

Johnetta Barmadia Flomo is Administrative Assistant to Erika Puni and Jean-Luc Lézeau. She is a Liberian (West Africa); the daughter of Gbonima Sando Barmadia (deceased) and Evangeline Beatrice Barmadia. Johnetta is married to John T. Flomo. The two of them are blessed with six beautiful children: Janjay, Jedti, Victor, Johnell, Denise, and Teah.
Johnetta holds a BA in Linguistics (French) and Education. She enjoys singing, cooking, listening to Christian music, and art. She is also the director of the Pikesville International Choir. |

Mary Taylor is Editorial Assistant to Maria Ovando-Gibson. A native of Dayton, Ohio, Mary is married and has four adult children.She has a B.A. degree in Business Administration and has a wealth of knowledge with experience in writing, supervision, and administration.
Mary has strong interpersonal skills and an ability to establish a good rapport with people. She also received her master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University.
